+ Thanh Kieu Coco Beach Resort !
We stayed at the Thanh kieu in October for 11 days, we hadn't planned on this long, but liked it so much we stayed. The huts are basic, but the bed was very comfortable, the room and the bathroom are very spacious, a fridge is supplied and the large balcony/terraces all have tables and chairs and a hammock on them.
We found the staff to be very friendly - especially Tan the breakfast waiter. The staff did like to go on the internet - as written in earlier posts - but as soon as we came in and they knew we wanted to use the pc's, they would move and let us use them.
The location of the place is perfect, 1 min to the beach and about a 20 minute walk into town, with lots of bars and cafes on the way.
Breakfast is really good, with omelettes, pancakes, fruit, bread and lots of fresh juices to choose from.
We travelled through south Vietnam and stayed in lots of places that were more expensive than this and out of them all, Thanh Kieu was my favourite. Would definately reccomend it!!
+ Nice resort with bungalows with seaview !
I would recommend this hotel : great location on the beach, close from many restaurants, large and clean bungalows, price includes pick-up from airport and breakfast, motorbikes available for rent, free wireless, staff is warm and helpful.
+ Nice place !
We actually stayed here in May 2009 which was relatively low season. Given little amenities, the place was really nice. We had a beachfront bungalow with no A/C and TV, but the resort was going through some renovation with reception (or restaurant) being built. One thing for sure - if you're looking for a 5* experience - look somewhere else. But if you need a quite bungalow in beautiful surroundings - look no further. The location is good: with the bike we hired from the owner the trip to Duong Dong took about 5 minutes. There is a very nice restaurant "Sunset on the beach" which I can also recommend if you're looking for decent food and excellent sunsets, but it's like 20-minute walk and you're likely to dine at a restaurant nearby. I'm not sure who's managing this place right now, but at that time it was Mr. Anh who had amazing English and was generally very helpful and arranged a free pickup. This review is long overdue, but I hope this place hasn't changed a lot from what we saw in 2009 and we're hoping to stay there some other time we visit Phu Quoc.
PS: buy mangos and pineapples at the Duong Dong market near the fish farms, it's amazing.
+ A Great Paradise !
We were there for a week, and our experience was great. The staff was friendy and caring. The price was very reasonable. The view of the beach was excellent and swimming was a blast. The breakfast is delicious. It was like a dream!
