Canary Resort

+ Bliss!

If you love relaxing, beautiful clean rooms, lazing in the pool with cocktails...then look no further! The staff were super friendly and the newly refurbished rooms are immaculate. It is slightly out of the main town of MuiNe but thats about the only issue...for me this was a definate plus as there is no-one wandering along the beach harrassing you. Taxi's are located outside the hotel and its only about a 5 min drive. Motorbike hire right across the street was super cheap and friendly. We had to spend an extra night here as one of our friends was unwell....i was really happy!!!

+ Awesome!

I stayed at the canary Resort with my wife on our 6 week holiday through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
We booked the resort through a travel agent in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh)
We really didn't know what to expect, as we had been told that this resort was removed from the main are of Mui Ne, so we only booked two nights.
After arriving, settling in, going out for dinner and waking up in the morning and swimming in their awesome pool (with pool bar!!!)- we extended our stay out to 5 nights.
The rooms were really nice, with a balcony looking out over the garden/pool. Good sized bed, air con, cable tv, safes - all you would want from a room! (especially for only $30USD a night!!!)
The breakfast buffet was really really nice, with a great selection of Asian and western food.
Service at this hotel was also excellent - the staff would drop anything to help us out if we needed it.
As far as being far from the action - well that depends on what you want...
The resort is about half way between the main tourist area on Mui Ne and the Fishing Village. (about 2-5 mins by motorbike either way).
We hired a motorbike from directly across the road from the lovely couple who own the convenience shop (Their names are Moi and Liam). This cost about $5UDS a day. Using this we found that we were not far from anywhere! I was surfing over at the other bay passed the fishing village, as well as further down the coast towards Phan Thiet - none of which was a hassle using the motorbike. (Mui Ne only really has one road).
I would also recommend "Lam Tong" as a restaurant!
By far the best value, and by far the best food in town!
We ate there 4 out of the 5 nights we were there! Best seafood ever! Also a super range of Vietnamese goodies!
I would totally recommend the Canary Resort, as well as Lam Tong restaurant to anyone wanting to visit Mui Ne (and you should!!).

+ Great resort at a bargain price !

We really enjoyed our stay at the Canary resort. The staff was very helpful and the grounds are imacculate. It is a little smaller than some of the fancier resorts but it has all the amenities. There is a well kept beach with ample sand, which is a rarity in Mui Ne. The breakfast was good and they have a really great pool that is constntly maintained. Lots of small local resteraunts are available mostly serving local seafood cooked over an open fire. We never experienced any of the aggresive begging that we had heard about and the locals were really great. It is a very quiet area. You will find more nightlife a few clicks closer to Phan Thiet the main city.

The messages are really great next door. There is a small shop run by two blind siblings who do theraputic massage for $4 USD for about an hour. This really helped me as I did my back in after a day of exploring. Plent of stuff to see and you can rent a motorbike anywhere for about $8 USD a day. The resort also rents bycicles cheap and has a little shop that sells most things that tourists would need plus the gratuitis souveniers.

Maybe a little too quite for some but a great place to relax.

+ Lovely beachfront hotel in Mui Ne !

I stayed 4 pleasant nights in a standard room (nice large room, no balcony) - an Expedia.Com special rate of @ $39. There are two restaurants - one outdoors with a sea view; a choice of sunloungers - either by the pool or in the private beach area. The hotel is at the end of the long strip of resorts - close to the Mui Ne township and spectacular harbour. The resort can arrange jeep tours to the sanddunes (red and white, 4 hours for $US 12 each). Cheaper tours may be available thru nearby shops. Automatic scooters can be hired from the resort shop. Free internet access is available in reception. The staff on the whole have minimal English but it's not a problem. The minor downside is the hotel seems to attract busloads of young people for Kareoke parties - this happened twice during my stay. The air conditioning helps drown the racket till it stops about 10pm. I caught a $US10 return bus trip from/to Saigon, with drop off/pick up at the resort.

+ Great pool, nice rooms, right on the beach !

My wife and I stayed in one of the beachfront bungalow rooms for $45 (midweek), including breakfast. The room was fairly basic, but had two double beds and the beach was about 15 feet from our door. The main part of the hotel looked nice as well and those rooms were going for $29. The pool was also great. Mui Ne was a little deserted at this time of the year, but given the number of nice resorts, bars and restaurants I would bet that the place is crowded in the winter and on weekends.

+ “It's have a great time with everybody !

Environment is very well, food is delicious and cheap, scenery is beautiful, people is friendly, I've been there 5 times but still enjoy.
